One Citizen's Stand for Democracy
Constitutional Defenders is the work of one patriotic U.S. citizen deeply concerned with the unprecedented and clear and present danger that the current regime, billionaire interests, and a captured Supreme Court pose to our Constitution, our hard-won social safety net benefits, truth-based rule of law, and America's role as leader of the free world.
These documents, tools, and ongoing developments are one citizen's contribution to the fight against tyranny. This platform is meant to serve as the seed for all other citizens, organizations, writers, independent media, social media influencers, organizers, unions, activists, and everyone who stands against the long, lamentable history of tyranny and the cruelty and pain that succumbing to oligarchs has brought throughout history.
When those who swore an oath to defend the Constitution won't act, it falls to ordinary citizens to bring their talents together to defend freedom for future generations and return America to being a beacon of hope — the bright light on a hill representing the promise of freedom and morality for the betterment of all humankind.
Democracy in Crisis: The Reality We Face
The rule of law is the foundation of why America is such a credible, stable, and trustworthy nation. If one day a regime leader believes they can control the election system, the next day they may decide which contracts are binding or non-binding. Constitutional Defenders is not about left or right — it is about wrong or right.
The evidence of our current crisis is overwhelming. By cancelling USAID funding, the former director has warned that 2 million babies will die from malnutrition. The President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, credited with saving 26 million people since 2003, has been effectively shuttered, threatening millions of lives.
When you combine this with a captured Supreme Court majority that has spent decades undermining campaign finance reform, We The People become the only bulwark against a corruption free-for-all zone benefiting billionaires at the expense of the vast majority of Americans and future generations.
The Promise of Citizen Action
Constitutional Defenders recognizes these threats and is seeding awareness and tools to give We the People leverage, help us avoid pitfalls, and exercise meaningful collaboration. This is all of us fighting back against the blatant assault on our democracy, with each of us bringing our individual talents to overcome Citizens United and related attacks that have corrupted our politics.
The distributed anti-propaganda LLM-based Hive Mind tool is currently under development, along with other resources designed to empower citizens. The People's PAC platform will provide a mechanism to break the dependency on corporate funding that constrains our political system.
By working together, we can defend freedom for future generations and return America to being that beacon of hope and bright light on a hill representing the promise of freedom and morality together for the betterment of all humankind, our environment, and all the species we were given the privilege to protect.
